AIRCON PORTFOLIO
Daikin Aircon E7 Error code Fan Motor Failure repair at Alexis on 24 Oct 2025
📍Project Location
356 Alexandra Rd
🏠 Property Type
Condo
Our team was called to service a Daikin Aircon system showing an E7 Error Code at 356 Alexandra Road, Alexis Condo. The error pointed to a fan motor failure, a common issue in outdoor units due to prolonged use, wear, or electrical faults.
This portfolio details the troubleshooting process, repair job scope, and post-repair diagnostics (heat transfer and superheat analysis) carried out by our BCA-trained installer.

Site Findings:
Upon arrival, the aircon system displayed the E7 error on the Daikin remote controller, indicating outdoor fan motor malfunction. Further inspection revealed a non-functional fan motor in the outdoor unit, leading to poor airflow and system shutdown as a safety protocol.
✅ Indoor Unit Model: FTKS50FVM
✅ Outdoor Unit Model: 3MKS71ESG
We confirmed the fault using Daikin’s service manual and diagnostic procedure, ruling out PCB board and wiring issues.
Quick Solution:
Replace the failed fan motor with a compatible new Daikin fan motor to restore airflow and system efficiency.
Repair Job Scope
Our team performed the following steps:
- Power Shutdown & Safety Isolation
- Removed the Outdoor Unit Panel
- Identified & Extracted the Faulty Fan Motor (see image with red-circled old motor)
- Installed a New Genuine Daikin Fan Motor (white casing, shown in comparison)
- Secured and Wired New Motor Properly
- Reassembled Outdoor Unit Panel
- Restarted & Tested the System ( Heat Transfer Analysis & Super Heat Analysis )
✅ Once powered up, the E7 error cleared, and the unit resumed normal operation.
🔍 What is Heat Transfer Analysis?
Heat transfer analysis helps evaluate how well an air conditioner cools by measuring the temperature difference between the air entering the indoor unit (inlet) and the cooled air blown back into the room (outlet).
📊 Daikin Aircon Heat Transfer Reading after Repair:
- 🔁 Inlet Air Temp (Room to Indoor Unit): 23°C
- ❄️ Outlet Air Temp (Indoor Unit to Room): 10°C
✅ Result: A 13°C temperature drop — showing the system is cooling efficiently after the fan motor replacement.

Super Heat Analysis
Superheat is a critical measurement in air conditioning systems. It refers to the temperature of refrigerant vapor after it has fully evaporated in the evaporator coil. Proper superheat levels ensure the coil is absorbing maximum heat and that no liquid refrigerant is entering the compressor — which can cause severe damage.
Superheat Readings:
- TLow: 8.0°C
- SH (Super Heat): 4.9°C
- VSAT: 3.1°C
✅ A superheat value of 4.9°C is within the ideal range for Daikin systems, confirming that the refrigerant is fully evaporating before leaving the coil. This means the system is running efficiently and the airflow — driven by the newly replaced fan motor.
Conclusion
The E7 error on this Daikin aircon unit at 356 Alexandra Road, Alexis Condo was successfully resolved by diagnosing and replacing the faulty outdoor fan motor. Post-repair diagnostics, including superheat and heat transfer analysis, confirmed that the system is now performing efficiently with stable refrigerant flow and proper airflow. The affected system included Daikin Indoor Unit Model: FTKS50FVM and Outdoor Unit Model: 3MKS71ESG.
Our team conducted a full-service procedure which involved fault isolation, fan motor replacement, system testing, and performance verification.
